I went to China recently.
More importantly I went to Newark recently. Nice airport, bad location.
First time for both.
"Security" happens. Xray shows. TSA speaks.
TSA: Can I search your bag.
Me: Sure.
TSA: (holding up my full tube of toothpaste) you can't have this.
Me: Why?
TSA: It is too big.
Me: So squirt some out in to the trash until you are happy.
TSA: I have to go by the size of the container.
Me: How does it feel to be an ignorant pawn in an illogical system.
Okay, so the last one was just in my head.
Reminder for next trip: carry on large, empty toothpaste container filled with air.
